Juanita Nancy Kozee

Juanita Nancy Kozee, 95 of Ashland, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Woodland Oaks Nursing and Rehab in Ashland. Juanita was born September 17, 1926 in Catlettsburg, a daughter of the late Barney M and Erba Doran Brooks. She retired from the Ashland Daily Independent as Society editor, was a member of First Christian Church of Ashland, a member of Eastern Star and served as past Worthy Matron, served on the board of Ramey Children's Home. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Wiley E. Kozee, brothers, Robert Brooks and Joe Brooks. She is survived by daughters, Jennifer (Bill) Malone of Grayson and Suzanne (Rob) Barber of Gainesville, FL, grandchildren, Kristin Malone, Tara (Nic) Mulkey, Patrick Malone, Shelby (Andy) Lyon and Marissa Malone, and a great-grandchild on the way, nieces, Shelley Aarvig, Leslie Brooks, Stephanie Stone, Claudia Hillary, nephews, Steve Brooks and Joel Brooks.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, August 23, 1:00 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home with  Ben James, minister. Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens.
