Leonard Adams

Leonard “Sonny” Adams, 87 of Grayson went to be with his Lord on Monday, August 21, 2017 at his residence. Sonny was born September 19, 1929 in Webbville a son of the late Milton Adams Jr. and Opal Bays Adams. He was a member of Willard Church of Christ and retired from Boilermakers local 667 in Winfield WV. He was preceded in death by his wife Lucille McDavid Adams; son, William Raymond Adams; brother, Milton Adams Jr. and brother-in-law, John Barnhill. His survivors include; three sons, Jim Adams, Jerry (Bernice) Adams and Jody Sr. (Debbie) Adams all of Grayson; two sisters, Mary Barnhill and Nina (Ray) Lambert both of Willard; one brother, George (Eloise) Adams of Willard; sister-in-laws; Margaret Adams and Helen McDavid; and a special friend, Margaret Holbrook of South Shore KY; five grandchildren, Joseph Adams, Jody Adams, Jr., Jessica Fritz, Josh Adams and Jared Adams; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday at Malone Funeral Home with Jerry Adams and Dave Braun, ministers. Burial will be in the East Carter County Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. Friday till service. Memorial contributions are suggested to: Community Hospice, 1480 Carter Avenue, Ashland, KY 41101.
