June 3, 1929 ~ July 20, 2018 (age 89)
Leondas Walker, 89 of Grayson went to be with his Lord on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Hospice Care Center in Ashland. Leondas was born June 3, 1929 at Beetle, KY a son of the late Harry Ward and Betty Adams Walker. He was retired Boilermaker from Local #105 in Piketon, OH and served his country proudly in the U.S. Army as an airplane mechanic. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Louise Thomas Walker in 2014; one son, Ward Walker; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Rose Walker; three sisters, Arlene Crawford, Shirley Maggard and Maxine Walker; three brothers, Wilbur Walker, Calvin Walker and Edgar Walker. His survivors include one son, Kevin Walker of Grayson; two daughters, Leetta (Gary) Jackson and Sherri (Brian) McDavid both of Grayson; nine grandchildren, Heather Bocook, Amanda Walker, Garrett Jackson, Clint Walker, Heath Walker, Melanie Queen, Ryan Jackson, Joey Walker and Shea Jackson: fourteen great-grandchildren, Tyler McDavid, Helen Renee McDavid, Cale Boggs, Devin McDavid, Kileigh Boggs, Laney Blevins Queen, Kellsey Bocook, Adria Queen, Brynlee Walker, Holden Walker, Allie Jane Jackson, Madilyn Walker, Kash Walker and Skylar Wilson; three great-great-grandchildren, Dawson McDavid, Brentley Boggs and Lakotah Boggs. Services will be Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at Malone Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Porter and Ryan Jackson, officiating. Burial will be in the East Carter County Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday till service.
