Lewis Ison

Lewis Ison, 73 of Grayson died Friday, May 31, 2019 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. Lewis was born May 6, 1946 in Ashland, a son of the late Lewis and Yorka Duncan Ison. He served his country proudly in the US Army, doing tours in Vietnam, Army funeral service detail and serving in 1st Air Calvary Mobile. He worked as a counselor at Hack Estep Home, and was active in Civil War Reenactments. He is survived by two sisters, Carol Sue (John) Dyer of Grayson and Glenna Jo Stewart of Kingsport TN; nieces and nephews, Steve Dyer, Stacey (Kevin) Prichard, Leslie (Dr. Donnie) Carroll and Randy (Jennifer) Stewart. Lewis was preceded in death by an infant brother.
Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, 1:00 p.m. at East Carter County Memory Gardens with full military honors. Condolences and memories can be sent to www.malonefuneralhome.com.
