Linda Lou Bishop Kiser, 72, of Grayson went to be with her Lord Sunday October 21, 2018 at the Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. Linda was born August 7, 1946 in Mason Illinois a daughter of the late Donald Wayne and Bessie Irene Warner Bishop. In addition to her parents Linda was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Hynd and a brother, William Bishop.
Linda was baptized at an early age in the Presbyterian Faith. Linda was the sole proprietor of L & M Café in Grayson for over 17 years. Linda was a strong willed business owner who was well loved by everyone she met. Linda was an animal lover, who was known for taking in stray dogs and cats.
Linda is survived by a son, Tony Simmons of Sandy Hook, KY; a grandson, Bret Simmons; a granddaughter, Piper Simmons both of New York City; four sisters, Pat Attaway of Elwood, IL, Judy Avery of Las Vegas, NV, Peggy Smith of Pineville, MO, and Betty Polimenokas of Shorewood, IL; three brothers, Richard Bishop of St. Joseph, MI, Tom Bishop of Braidwood, IL and Charles Bishop of Mississippi; two special friends, Louise Taylor and Linda Brock both of Grayson; and a host of nieces and nephews who all mourn her passing.
A memorial graveside service will be held in Maple Hill Cemetery in Elwood Illinois at a later date. Local arrangements are entrusted to the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.malonefuneralhome.com
