Lola Mae Gallion Sexton Holz

Lola Mae “Cricket” Gallion Sexton Holz, 93, of Willard went to be with her Lord Tuesday May 10, 2022 at her residence. Lola was born November 9, 1928 in Lawrence County, KY a daughter of the late Luther Giles and Della Murphy Gallion. In addition to her parents, Lola was preceded in death by her first husband, Leonard Oscar Sexton; her second husband, Walter Charles Holz; a son, Larry David Sexton; seven brothers, Jay Gallion, Estill “Bud” Gallion, Melvin Gallion, George Gallion, Willie Gallion, Lee Roy Gallion and Johnny Gallion; and three sisters, Helen Sexton Bush, Minnie Currey and Jeanie Stringfellow.
Lola was a homemaker and loved to spend her time with her precious family. Family to Lola meant everything and she would do anything for them. Lola enjoyed quilting, planting flowers and taking care of her birds. Lola was a past member of the Carter County Homemakers.
Lola is survived by three sons, Jerry (Janet) Sexton of Romulus, MI, Rick (Jamie) Sexton of Willard and Phillip (Priscilla) Sexton of Hitchins; a daughter, Joyce (Billy) Boggs of Willard; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; a brother, Hagar Gallion of Columbus, Ohio; three sisters, Barb (Eddie) Cooper of Grayson, Patricia McCoy and Ellen Stutler both of Olive Hill; and a host of extended family and friends who all mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be 11 am Monday May 16, 2022 at the Malone Funeral Home with Bro. Lloyd Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Sexton Cemetery.
