Loretta Greene Clifton

Loretta Greene Clifton, 81, of Lower Grassy went to be with her Lord Wednesday November 14, 2018 at the St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington. Loretta was born October 7, 1937 in Greenup Co., KY a daughter of the late Austin and Nellie Mae Riffe Greene. In addition to her parents Loretta was preceded in death by a sister, Ella Mae Billups.
Loretta was a member of the Lower Grassy Church of Christ and a life-long chicken farmer. Loretta enjoyed couponing and getting the best deal possible, and was an excellent cook who made large Sunday dinners for friends and family. Loretta loved spending time with her family, spoiling her grandchildren, and was known for her welcoming personality.
Loretta is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, James Franklin Clifton; a daughter, Wanda (Jon) Walker of Olive Hill, a son, Mitchell Clifton of Lower Grassy; four grandchildren, Lacy (Tony) Harris of Greenup, Mandy (Collin) Bell of Olive Hill, Dylan Clifton of Grayson and Jonlyn Walker of Olive Hill; a great-grandchild, Aiden Harris; a sister, Deloris Dowdy of Greenup; and a brother, Raymond (Janie) Greene of Greenup.
Funeral services will be 1 pm Saturday November 17th, 2018 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Roger McGlone officiating. Burial will follow in the Everman Cemetery in Carter County.
