Lorraine Hudgins Peffer, 96, of Grayson, went to be with her Lord on June 14. Lorraine was born May 16, 1926 in Grayson, only child of the late James Hudgins and Myrtle Harper Hudgins. She was a lifelong member of the Wolfe Creek Baptist Church, who spent many years teaching Bible school. She was also a teacher’s aide at Prichard Elementary school. She was preceded in death by a son, James “Jim” Peffer and his wife Debbie. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Jo “Jody” (Arney) Conley of North Carolina, two sons, Tony (Myra) Peffer of Connecticut, Scott Peffer of Ashland, her grandchildren, Laura (Ken) Marks and Colin Ruth of New York, Mike (Tina) Peffer and Curtis Joe (Colleen) Peffer of Grayson, Lark Holmes of New Hampshire, her great-grandchildren, Eleanor and Clarissa Marks of New York, Michael and Hailey Peffer of Grayson, and Cain and Freya Holmes of New Hampshire. Her loving heart will be missed by all her friends and family.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 pm Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Malone Funeral Home with Tony Peffer minister. Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens.
