Mary Louise James, 75 of Grayson went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. Mary was born January 6, 1946 in Ashland, KY a daughter of the late Archie and Myrtle Knipp. Mary worked many years at Big Value Grocery and Lake Way Express and was a member of New Hope Church of God of Prophecy. She was preceded in death by one brother, Melvin Archie and sister, Bonnie Joyce. Mary is survived by one son, Ricky Tackett of Grayson, three daughters, Rena (Jerry) Lucas of Denton, Vicky (Tom) Cochran of Brentwood, CA and Linda (Brent) Steele of Grayson, four sisters Sara Helen (James) Boyles of Greenup, Sharon (Danny) Tackett of Flatwoods, Brenda (Danny) Hieneman of Greenup and Donna (Webb) Jones of Flatwoods, two brothers, Robert Knipp of Flatwoods and Randy (Melody) Knipp of Greenup, thirteen grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, 1:00 p.m. at Grayson New Hope Church of God of Prophecy with Mark Griffin, minister. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Monday at the church from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until service time. Serving as pallbearers will be Kenny Lucas, Jason Lucas, Eric Lucas, Ryan Lucas, Casey Steele, Austin Waggoner and Tyler Sequeira.
