Mervil ''Todd'' Hardy

Mervil “Todd” Hardy 87, of Grayson went to his heavenly home Monday February 18, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Todd was born November 3, 1931, in Elliott Co, KY a son of the late Everett and Ila Blevins Hardy. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife Euenva Hardy: his beloved (favorite) daughter Paula Hardy, daughter -in-law, Amy Brammell Hardy; two sisters Lucy (Richard) Jolly and Cosetta (Herman) Young; three brothers Edford, Ervin, and Bill Hardy; Father and Mother in-law, Ray and Delta Lyon; brother-in-law, Willis (Maryln) Lyon. Todd was a member of the Gregoryville Christian Holiness Church.
He was a US Army Veteran, who served honorably during the Korean War. He retired from the Commercial Bank of Grayson. Todd loved his family, they were all very special to him. A music lover at heart Todd started playing the guitar at an early age along with sisters and brothers. Many special memories of playing and singing were made on the front porch of his family’s log home. He loved to share wonderful songs for Church and nursing homes. Seems he always had a guitar close at hand. He even took one with him when he joined the army. He was a true fan of the University of Kentucky Wildcats and of the Cincinnati Reds.
Todd is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Linda Lyon Hardy.
Two sons; Rick and Christian Todd Hardy; Daughter, Carla and son- in- law Vince McFerron; two Brothers, Everett Jr (Phyllis) Hardy of Columbus Ohio and Eddie (Sue) Hardy of Knoxville; Brother-in-law Jim (Jody) Lyon of Mesa Arizona; Five Grandchildren; Heather (Steve) Gilley, Heath (Melissa) Knipp , Austin (Sarah) McFerron all of Greencastle Indiana, Michael and Alisha Hardy of Grayson; 16 Great- grandchildren.
Along with many special nieces, grand nieces, nephews, grand nephews and extended friends and family.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the Bellefonte Primary Care-Grayson Doctor Miranda Binion and staff. Doctors, Nurses and Staff of Bellfonte Hospital. The Palliative Care Team and The Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland for their outstanding care and compassion. A special Thank you to Steve Justice for visiting Todd while in The Hospice Care sharing his gift of music bringing sunshine into His room.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, at Malone Funeral Home of Grayson with Pastor Keith Sergent officiating. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East Greenup KY.
