Monty Glenn Wilson

Monty Glenn Wilson, 56, of South Point, OH went to be with his Lord December 17, 2021 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland surrounded by his loving family.  Monty was born October 22, 1965 in Ashland, KY a son of Everett Jr. and Loretta Jackson Wilson.  Monty was preceded in death by a son, Michael David Mineer; grandson, Weston Mineer; paternal grandparents, Everett Sr. and Shirley Messer Wilson; and his maternal grandparents, Riley and Maggie Jackson.  Monty served in the US Army reserves and US Navy reserves.  Monty worked as a safety administrator with US Nitro Blasting, a past supervisor and quality control at Smithfield, and worked as a janitor at Morehead State University.  Monty loved playing gospel music with “Purest Heart” having played guitar and bass.  Monty is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Tammy Seagraves Wilson; a son, Christopher (Tianna) Wilson of Grayson; two daughters, Allison Ramirez of Georgetown, KY and Lacey Skaggs of Louisville, KY; three grandchildren who he raised as his own children, Autumm Young, Izabella Young-Hernandez and Caleb Young-Hernandez; several grand and great-grandchildren;  two sisters, Sabrena (Jimbo) McKenzie and Regina (Mike) Childers both of Ashland; two brothers, Joel (Melissa) Wilson of Ashland and Phillip (Pat) Wilson of Rush. 

A celebration of life service will be 1 pm Monday December 27, 2021 at the Princess Church of Christ, 906 W Midland Trail, Ashland, KY 41102.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.malonefuneralhome.com
