Nicholas Allen Carroll

Nicholas “Nicky” Allen Carroll, age 53, of Zanesfield, Ohio passed away unexpectedly early Friday morning, January 20, 2023, in the emergency room at Memorial Hospital in Marysville, Ohio exactly 42 days after his loving wife Connie Sue passed away on December 10, 2022.
He was born on August 10, 1969, in Mansfield, Ohio to Nicholas and Cheryl (Burton) Carroll. He graduated from Temple Christian High School and later received his Associates Degree in Engineering from North Central State University in Mansfield. On October 5, 2021, he married Connie Sue Conley at the Bellefontaine, Ohio Courthouse.
Nicky was proud to work as a Senior Engineering Electrical Technician for Honda for 24 years. He loved watching Ohio State Football and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, DIY projects, and spending time with his Goldendoodle Harley “Bug”. An avid motorcycle enthusiast, he loved riding his silver Harley Davidson. One of his favorite pastimes was sitting on the floor with his grandson “Zekie Boy”, showing him how to play with his toys and letting him pull his beard.
Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Brandon (Natasha) Carroll of Gahanna and Christopher Carroll of Greensboro, North Carolina; grandson, Ezekiel (with 1 on the way); his father and mother, Nick and Cheryl Carroll of Mansfield; sisters, Melissa (Jeff) Hannan of Mansfield, Kimberly (Brian) Running of Mansfield and Sarah (Matt) Drain of Belleville, Michigan; Connie’s mother, Bertha Conley; nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm at the Snyder Funeral Homes, DeVore Chapel, St. Rt. 3 at St. Rt. 61, Sunbury, Ohio 43074. Funeral services will then be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Malone Funeral Home , 325 Malone Lane, Grayson, Kentucky 41143, with John Lybrook officiating. Visitation will be 12 noon Thursday until the service hour. Burial will follow next to Connie Sue in the East Carter County Memory Gardens.
