Noah Cegar Whisman, 93 of Grayson went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, June 15, following a long illness. Noah was born September 2, 1928 in Elliott County, KY, a son of the late Jess and Jency Kegley Whiseman. He was a retired Pipefitter from local #248 Ashland, an Army Veteran and of Christian faith. Noah was preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathan Mark Whisman, three sisters, Fern Swanigan, Lucille Flannery and Maude Hunter and one brother, Seth Whisman. His survivors include his wife of 72 years, Martha Blackwell Whisman, three sons, Jonathan Whisman of Olive Hill, KY, Victor (Denise) Whisman of Richmond, KY and Willis (Pam) Whisman of Olive Hill, KY, six grandchildren, Shannon (Malayia) Whisman of West Liberty, KY, Amanda (Alvin) Hensley of Greenup, Miranda (Derek Ison) Miles of Grayson, Johnny Whisman of Olive Hill, Leanne Whisman of FL and Evan Whisman of Winchester, KY, ten grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Sunday, 2:00 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home with Bro. Marcus McCleese, minister. Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday, 12 noon until service time. Serving as pallbearers will be, Ben Whisman, Evan Whisman, Cadey Hensley, Johnny Whisman, Alvin Hensley and Shannon Whisman.
