Orby Barton Layne

Orby “Bart” Barton Layne, 65 of Grayson, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Hospice Care Center in Ashland. Bart was born January 12, 1957 in Ashland, KY, a son of Carrie Lou Peffer Layne and the late Orby Crystal Layne. Bart was the former owner of Bart’s Outdoor in Grayson, and been a taxidermists for many years. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 45 years, Cathy Kretzer Layne, son, Christopher Layne of Grayson, daughter, Sheena Layne and son in law Jason Meadows of Grayson, sister, Beverly (John) Triplett of Grayson, brother, Brent (Kim)Layne of Grayson, five grandchildren, Alyssa Layne, Mason Layne, Annalise Meadows, Sydney Meadows Jarvis and Cooper Meadows, great-granddaughter, Maya Grace Jarvis, and a host of other family and friends.
Memorial services will be Tuesday, May 31st , 3:00 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home with Bro. Bryan Whitt and Sister Carolyn DeHoff, ministers. Burial will be East Carter County Memory Gardens.
