Owen "Elden" Adams, 82, of Taylorsville, Georgia, formerly of Hitchins, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018 in Cartersville, Georgia. He was born November 21,1935 in Grahn, Kentucky to the late George and Edna Mayo Adams. Elden's faith was

Elden was a very devoted family man, a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed horses, hunting, and just being outdoors.
He retired from Kentucky Electric Steel with 35 years of service, and ten years at Buckeye Steel in Ohio, before that.
Elden was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Phyllis Jean Caudill Adams in 2017, one son, Tony Adams in 2000, and one grandson, Nicholas Adams in 2017. He is survived by two daughters, Kathy (Jeff) O'Banion of Taylorsville, GA, and Penny (David)Whitt of Willard, KY.....Eleven grandchildren: Joseph (Patrice) Clevenger, Anthony (Christine) Adams, Carrie Savage, Jeremy (Addie) O'Banion, Justin Adams, Shawn King, Rebecca Gillum, Joshua (Sara) O'Banion, Chris King, and Heather King. Elden also leaves behind 23 great grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Elden was one of seven children. He was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Adams, and two sisters, Deloris Adams and Elsie Taylor. He is survived by three sisters, Alice Joy Steel, Toni (John) Leadingham, and Shirley Adams, as well as many other family members and great friends.
Elden loved everyone, and he never met a stranger. Alzheimer's may have taken his mind, but it NEVER got his "Smile". He will be loved and missed by many.
Funeral Services will be 2 pm Sunday March 4, 2018 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson. Burial will follow in the Caudill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-9 pm Saturday and after 12 noon Sunday all at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the Adams family at www.malonefuneralhome.com
