Peggy Sue McDowell

Peggy Sue McDowell, 60, of Grayson went to be with her Lord Friday February 8, 2019 in Carter County. Peggy was born March 14, 1958 in Columbus, OH a daughter of the late Laymen McDowell and Betty Marie Taylor Rogers. In addition to her parents Peggy was preceded in death by a daughter, Jamie Blevins; and a sister, Mary Alice Rogers.
Peggy was a member First Church of Christ in Grayson, and loved starting her day reading the Bible. Peggy worked at many different restaurants in Grayson including Dairy Queen and Hardees. Peggy enjoyed watching her two favorite movies, Avatar and 3:10 to Yuma.
Peggy is survived by two sons, George E. Phillip, Jr. of Grayson and William (Lisa) Phillips of Industry, PA; 11 grandchildren; a brother, Paul R. (Darlene) Rogers of Grayson; Linda (Tim) Gail Rogers Smith of Grayson; and many friends and extended family who all mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be 12 noon Tuesday February 12, 2019 at the Malone Funeral Home with Scott Ford officiating. Burial will follow in the East Carter County Memory Gardens.
