Phillip Wayne Rice, 42, of Grayson went to be with his Lord Thursday April, 18, 2019 at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Phillip was born July 17, 1976 in Ashland, KY a son of Ercel Rice and the late Eunice Ellen Prince Damron. In addition to his mother, Phillip was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey Keith Henderson. Phillip was a boilermaker with the local 40, worked as a physical therapy tech, and ran a Snowie Shaved Ice. Phillip was an avid wrestling, UK basketball and Chicago Bears fan. Phillip loved working in his ice truck “Snowie”, and spending time with his friends who all loved his contagious personality. Including his father Phillip is survived by his fiancée, Angie Nelson of Grayson; a sister, Stephany Damron of Barboursville, WV; a brother, Mickey (Tammy) Henderson of Olive Hill; two nephews, Braxton Boggs and Brayden Boggs; a niece, Brooklyn Boggs; his fur babies, Cha-Chi, Pickles, Emmie Lou, Bruno and Tank; and a host of extended family and friends who all mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be 1 pm Tuesday April 23, 2019 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Bro. Jimmy Kozee officiating. Burial will follow in the East Carter County Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 11 am Tuesday until the time of service on Tuesday.
