Raymond Newman

Raymond Newman, 93, of South Shore, KY went to be with his Lord Monday October 23, 2017 at the S.O.M.C. Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio. Raymond was born March 22, 1924 in Portsmouth, OH a son of the late James and Lydia Workman Newman. Including his parents Raymond was preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 65 years, Gladys Whitt Newman in 2009; two brothers, John Newman and Orville Newman; and a great-grandson, Ethan Craft.
Raymond was a retired farmer and brick layer; and a member of Grassy Church of Christ. Raymond’s passion was trading knives and guns.
Raymond is survived by a son, Jack (Shelia) Newman of Portsmouth, OH.; a daughter, Nancy (Marlin) Newman Fannin of Mt. Orab, OH.; 8 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and several friends and extended family who all mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be 2 pm Saturday October 28, 2017 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Pastor Larry Barrell and Pastor B.J. Newman officiating. Burial will follow in the Horsley Cemetery.
