Robert David Haight

Robert “David” Haight, 67, of Greenup, KY passed away on October 31, 2018 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital following an extended illness. David was born June 12, 1951 in Ashland, KY. He was the son of the late Robert Oscar and Edna Ruth Sims Haight of Greenup. In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his infant brother. He is survived four daughters, Angela McDavid (Chris) of Russell, KY, Elizabeth Caskey (Kevin) of Ironton, OH, Carrie Haight (Kaitlin Bedekovich) of Charleston, WV and Amy Boyd (Aaron) of Greenup, KY; two granddaughters, Hannah McDavid of Russell and Reese Caskey of Ironton; brothers, Roy Haight (Patty) of Flatwoods, KY and Dusty Haight (Tena) of Greenup; sisters, Becky Lucas (Mike) of Clearwater, FL and Susie Alvey of Ashland, KY; nieces and nephews, Chris Haight, Brandon Haight, Chandra Sale, Aaron Lucas, Lacey Kerr, Megan Alvey and Kyle Alvey. David loved and treasured his time with Maria Haight, the mother of his children. He respected his friendship with close family friend, Carolyn Rice. David enjoyed visiting with his extended family, many friends and enjoyed the companionship of his dog, Lulu. David was employed by the Greenup County Health Department as the County Health Environmentalist for 32 years. He was loved beyond measure by his family and will be greatly missed. Services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 4th at Malone Funeral Home. Interment in East Carter County Memory Gardens.
