Ronald Jones

Ronald “Ronnie” Jones, 83 of Ashland, KY passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Hospice Care Center in Ashland with his family by his side. Ronnie was born March 18, 1940 in Owingsville, KY, a son of the late Oliver and Dorothy Warner Jones. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim Downs; son, Jeryl Jones; two brothers, Roger Jones and Edward Lee Jones. Ronnie was an avid fisherman and a huge fan of KY Wildcats. Ronnie was of Christian faith, served his country honorably in the US Army from 1959 till 1964, and was in the trucking business for over 50 years. Ronnie is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda Davis Jones; son, Eddie (Tammy) Jones; daughter, Deidra (John) Clark; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; special friend, Phil Kiser and his baby dog, Levi.
Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 noon Friday at Malone Funeral Home with Chris Keaton, minister. Burial with full military honors will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until service time Friday. Serving as pallbearers will be , Jamie Conley, Randy Carroll, Phillip Downs, Camron Shannon, Caden Thomas and Mason Lewis; honorary pallbearer, Phil Kiser.
