Ronnie Workman

Ronnie Wayne Workman, 70 of Denton KY went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington.  Ronnie was born January 9, 1947 in Wevaco, WV a son of Barbara Hurley Workman of Eskdale, WV and the late Cecil Workman.  He worked for Carbon Fuel Co., a graduate of East Bank High School, a member of Ross Chapel Church and attended Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist.  Ronnie proudly served his country during Vietnam in the Army, he loved working in his wood shop and his love and compassion in helping others.  He was preceded in death by his grandson-in-law, David Proctor and his brother-in-law, Tom Fannin.  In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife Nettie Fannin Workman; one son, Jeffrey Wayne Workman of Ripley WV; three daughters, Diana Workman Miller of Kimberly WV, Paula (David) Smith of S Charleston WV and Tracy (Mike) Kirk of Trinity NC; two sisters, Patty Perry of Conway, SC and Betty Tyler of Dunbar WV; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a special nephew, Keith Allen Fannin; special friend and neighbor, Wayne Hale.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, 12 noon at Malone Funeral Home with Jimmy Blevins and Keith Crum, ministers.  Burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East with full military honors.
