Ruth Ann Staggs Everman

Ruth Ann Staggs Everman, 76, of Grayson went to be with her Lord, Sunday March 19, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was born May 5, 1946 in Carter County, KY a daughter of the late Henry Oliver and Bertha Mae Parsons Staggs. In addition to her parents Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years in 2015, Ray Glendal Everman; three brothers, Franklin Staggs, Ronald Staggs and James Staggs; and an infant sister, Jessie Staggs.
Ruth worked as a bus driver for over 35 for the Carter County Board of Education. Ruth was baptized into the Iron Hill Missionary Baptist Church in 1980, she drove the church van, was a Sunday School Teacher and also helped with the Vacation Bible School. Ruth enjoyed quilting, making crafts for church, fishing and driving her tractor on the family farm. Ruth’s greatest love was spending time with her family and her precious grandchildren. Ruth had a heavenly personality and always made everyone feel welcomed and loved.
Ruth is survived by four sons, James Glendal (Tina) Everman, Tim (Stephanie) Everman, Mike (Anita) Everman, and Andy (Stephanie) Everman all of Grayson; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; two sister-in-laws, Maggie Staggs and Pam Staggs; and many friends and extended family who all mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be 3 pm Thursday, March 23, 2023 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Bro. Mike Burnett officiating. Burial will follow in the Everman-Patton Family Cemetery on Rockhouse Rd. Visitation will be 6-9 pm Wednesday and after 2 pm Thursday until the service hour at the funeral home.
