Sarah Alene Holbrook Elliott

Sarah Alene Holbrook Elliott, 78, of Grayson went to be with her Lord Monday May 2, 2022 at her daughter’s residence in Rush. Sarah was born June 27, 1943 in Carter County, KY a daughter of the late John and Iva Stevens Holbrook. Including her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Willie Elliott in 2017; four sisters, Audrey Young, Linda Burke, Suzie McDavid and Pricilla Holbrook; a brother, Claude Holbrook; and a son in-law, Robert Jackson; and two brother in-laws, Vernon McDavid and Chester Burke.
Sarah was a member of Jesus Church. Sarah enjoyed listening and transcribing gospel songs, fishing and working puzzles.
Sarah is survived by her three sons, Glen Russell Elliott, John Dean Elliott and Charles Ray Elliott all of Grayson; three daughters, Theresa Sue (Terry) Jackson of Grayson, Donna Lou Jackson of Greenup, and Judy Ann (Sam) Barker of Rush; eleven grandchildren; twenty seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Glen (Gayla) Holbrook of Marion, OH; a brother in-law, Bob Young; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Funeral services will be 1 pm Thursday May 5, 2022 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Aaron Lambers officiating. Burial will follow in the Ison cemetery. Visitation will be 11 am Thursday until the service hour. Condolences were sent to the Elliott Family at www.malonefuneralhome.com.
