Selena Perry

Selena Sexton Perry, 70 of Grayson went to be with her Lord on Thursday, November 17, 2023, at the Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. Selena was born September 26, 1953, in Carter County, Ky, a daughter of the late David and Mary White Sexton. In addition to her parents, Selena was preceded in death by her first husband of 15 years, Bobby Junior Porter ; her second husband of 28 years, Jess David Perry; one daughter, Linda Porter-Hayes; and an infant sister, Frankie Gwen Sexton.
Selena was a homemaker, devoted wife, loving mother, and an amazing grandmother. She enjoyed playing bingo, solving sudoku puzzles, working in her flower garden, and hanging out with her dog Delilah.
Selena is survived by two sons, Jason Cole (Becky) Porter of Hitchins and Roy Nathan (Christy) Porter of Grayson; three daughters, Bobbi Jo (Sam) Emerson of Grayson, Virginia Lynn (Jerry) Steele, and Jessica Ann (Greg) Steele both of Hitchins; a sister-in- law whom she thought of as a daughter, Renne’ (Danny) Steele of Hitchins; three sisters, Toni Sargent of Grayson, Mary Ann Hardy and Georgia Lynn (Terry) Campbell both of Hitchins; three brothers, David (Gail) Sexton of Hitchins, Lebron Sexton and Freddie Sexton both of Grayson; 22 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren that she cherished.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Selena’s residence on Evermans Creek with Bro. Tony Seagraves officiating. Burial will follow in the Perry Family Cemetery on Evermans Creek. Friends may call Monday, November 20, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until the service hour on Tuesday.
