Sharon Kay Burton

Sharon Kay Burton, 59, of Mt. Sterling went to be with her Lord Wednesday September 8, 2021 at her residence. Sharon was born November 11, 1961 in Greenup, KY a daughter of the late, Raymond Lee and Garnet Renee Bertram Wilburn. In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Gene Wilburn. Sharon was a 1979 graduate of East Carter High School. Sharon attended Iron Hill Missionary Baptist Church, enjoyed collecting nick/knacks, attending to her houseplants, watching TV and cooking for friends and family. Sharon is survived by a son, Travis (Melinda) Burton of Ashland; a daughter, Tracy (Kyle) Burton of Mt. Sterling; six grandchildren, Kaitlynn Burton, Ethan Burton, Brady Burton, Brody Waggoner, Jasmine Waggoner and Jaylin Campbell; a great-granddaughter, Aria Young; three brothers, Bobby Ray Bertram of Greenup, William Wilburn of Ashland, Ervin Raymond (Suzie) Wilburn of South Shore; Rose (Mark) Jordan of Carter County, Louvena (Bub) Wilburn of Greenup, Ruth Ann French of Westwood, and Louise Dyer of Mt.Sterling. Funeral services will be 7 pm Saturday September 11, 2021 at the Malone Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6 pm Saturday until the service hour.
