Sharon Kay Wilburn

Sharon Kay Kiser Wilburn, 71, of Flatwoods, KY passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at the Trinity Station Retirement Community in Flatwoods, KY. Sharon was born December 29, 1948 in Grayson, KY a daughter of the late Richard and Ardith Bowling Kiser. In addition to her parents Sharon was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years, John David Wilburn and a sister, Patricia Dian Kiser. Sharon was a dog groomer for many years and loved to work in her flower garden. Sharon is survived by a sister, Shelia (David) Hill of Ashland; a brother, Phillip (Digna) Gary Kiser of Jamestown, OH; step-daughter, Johna (Mike) Vertrees of Elizabethtown, KY; a step-son, Greg Wilburn of Radcliff, KY; two step-grandchildren, Senior Master Sargent DeAndra (Dwight) Mills of Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX and Chief Petty Officer Michael Vertrees stationed aboard the USS Carl Vinson; one step-great-grandson, Evan Robert Mills; and many friends and extended family who all mourn her passing. A graveside memorial service will be conducted Monday, September 14, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ison Cemetery in Fultz with Bro. Jason Porter officiating.
