Shirley Mae Mordell

Shirley Mae Mordell, 84 of Rush went to be with her Lord on Monday, May 27, 2019 at her residence. Shirley was born March 1, 1935 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late Luther and Thelma Gullett Townson. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Mordell; one daughter, Linda Sue Taylor; one son, David McGuffin; three brothers, Bobby Townson, Ronnie Townson and Billy Townson. Her survivors include two daughters, Dreama (Jeff) Greer of Olive Hill, KY and Vicki (JoJo) Rice of Rush; one son, Larry (Debbie) McGuffin of Rush; one sister, Tina Williamson of Huntington WV; one brother, Terry Townson of Huntington WV; nine grandchildren, Trina Townson, Lisa Rice, Christyn Spradlin, Randy Adkins, James Tomblin, Mitchell and Michael Tomblin, Fred McGuffin and Kristen Greer.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, 1:00 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Damron, minister. Visitation will be Thursday, 11:00 a.m. until service time at funeral home.
