Stella Suttles

Stella Mae Skaggs Suttles, 88, of Grayson went to be with her Lord Wednesday March 23, 2022 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. Stella was born January 28, 1934 in Elliott County, KY a daughter of the late, William Thurston and Vena Moore Skaggs. In addition to her parents, Stella was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ernie Elton Suttles; two sisters, Letha Skaggs Miller and Lena Skaggs Baker; and two brothers, James Clinton Skaggs and Ralph Skaggs. Stella was a member of Mayhew Flats Church for over thirty years. Stella retired from Cowden’s Sewing Factory. Stella enjoyed gardening, working in her flowerbeds, shopping and going out to eat. Stella is survived by four sisters, Lecta Knipp of Grayson, Vici Simmons and Geneva Thornsberry both of Sandy Hook and Betha (Bob) Sue Elliott of Springfield, OH; and a host of extended family and friends who all mourn her passing. Funeral services will be 1 pm Sunday March 27, 2022 at the Malone Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Rice and Bro. Adam Rice officiating. Burial will follow in the Edison Cemetery.
