Thomas Edwin “Tommy” Keyes, 87, of Grayson went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at his residence. Tommy was born August 26, 1931 in Johns Run, KY a son of the late Harry and Lydia Adams Keyes. In addition to his parents Tommy was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years in 2012, Nora Lee Burke Keyes; two sisters, Thelma Pennington, and Murl Jackson; four brothers, Paul Keyes, Carl Keyes, Lawrence Keyes, and Robert Keyes.
Tommy was the sole proprietor of Tom’s Barber Shop for 35 years. Tommy was a Christian and a faithful attendee of the Hitchins Wesleyan Church. Tommy had a special love for all the dogs in his neighborhood; loving and caring for all of them. Tommy is survived by several nieces, nephews, friends and extended family who all mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 pm Saturday at Malone Funeral Home with Denver Prater and Steve Keyes officiating. Burial will follow in the East Carter County Memorial Gardens.
