Verna Marshall Gollihue

Verna Marshall Gollihue, 86, of Denton, KY went to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at her residence. Verna was born May 8, 1934 at Hitchins, KY a daughter of the late Roy and Ruth Flynn Marshall. She was a member of the Maranatha Bible Church and was formerly employed with Grayson Pharmacy and several local restaurants. Verna was preceded in death by a daughter, Jackie Gollihue; a son, Randy Gollihue; a grandson, Jeromy Gollihue; daughter-in-law, Debbie Gollihue; three sisters, Clotine Marshall, Emma Porter and Dolly Porter; and five brothers, Edgel, Elmer Todd, Claude, James “Shorty” and Bill Marshall. Her survivors include her husband of 66 years, Donnie Gollihue; one son, Bobby (Tina) Gollihue of Hitchins; four daughters, Debbie Griffitts of Hitchins, Janet (Kevin Marcum) Tackett of Denton, Paulette Casteel of Hitchins and Paula (Larry) Daily of Denton; 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. A private graveside service will be conducted for Verna at the Marantha Bible Church Cemetery with Steve Owen and Jesse Fyffe, officiating. Interment will follow in the Maranatha Bible Church Cemetery. The Malone Funeral Home in Grayson was entrusted with the arrangements.
