Virginia "Jenny" Rogers Large

Virginia “Jenny” Rogers Large, 82, of Webbville, went to be with her Lord Thursday August 1, 2019 at the Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. Jenny was born February 5, 1937 in Eskdale, WV, a daughter of the late Arvil and Beulah Parsons Rogers. In addition to her parents Jenny was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leonard Large in 2006 whom she wed on October 3, 1959; three brothers, Grover Clayton Rogers, Harold Virgil “HV” Rogers and , Orville “Dee” Rogers, and three sisters, Jean Marie Rogers Prichard, Wilma Louise Rogers and Phyllis Onita Rogers.
Jenny was a homemaker and loving mother. Jenny loved to play guitar and sing gospel songs. In her younger years, she enjoyed working in the garden and canning vegetables. Jenny’s life was her family and going to church, but due to her health reasons was unable to go for over a year.
Jenny is survived by two daughters, Joan (Phillip) Litteral, and Rowena (Edward) Borders; a son, Dale Large; a granddaughter, Lauren Litteral all of Webbville; two sisters, Linda (Don) Rogers Flanery and Donna Sue Rogers both of Oldtown; and numerous nieces, nephews, neighbors and extended family who all mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be 12 noon Monday August 5th, 2019 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Delmar Rogers and Don Flanery officiating.  Burial will follow in the Large Family Cemetery in Webbville. Visitation will be 6-9 pm Sunday and after 9 am Monday until the service hour all at the funeral home. Condolences were sent to the Large family at www.malonefuneralhome.com
