William F. Clay

William Clay, 88 of Grayson went to be with his Lord on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at his residence. Bill was born March 16, 1931 in Ashland, KY a son of the late Martin G. and Mollie Conley Clay. He was retired from Armco Steel working in the hot strip, served his country in the U S Navy and was a member of Mt. Chapel United Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Steve Clay. His survivors include his wife Erlene LeMaster Clay; one son, Roy (Reva) Clay of Grayson; one sister Marilyn Hyde of Sheffield, AL; daughter-in-law, Rene Clay of Grayson; four grandchildren, Mark (Jessica) Clay, Lauren Clay, Tyler (Lexie) Clay and Troy Clay; four great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted Monday, 1:00 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home with Bro. Ike Flaugher, officiating. Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens with Navy honors.
