William Orville Sagraves

William Orville Sagraves, 86, of Denton went to be with his Lord Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland after a short illness. Orville was born May 23, 1931 in Elliott Co., KY a son of the late Russell and Myrtle Sue Blevins Sagraves and step-father, John William Sagraves. In addition to his parents Orville was preceded in death by two sons, James Curtis Sagraves and William Allen Sagraves; two brothers, Lloyd Sagraves and Woody Seagraves; a sister, Dorothy Seagraves Branham; a granddaughter, Mary Sagraves and a grandson, Charlie Salyers, Jr. Orville worked at General Refectories for over 30 years. Orville is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, whom he married October 9th, 1948, Gearldean Mullins Sagraves; two sons, Russell (Debbie) Sagraves, and Lindsey (Tina) Sagraves; two daughters, Louise (Glen) Holbrook, and Carrie (Craig) Robinson all of Denton; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great- grandchildren; two brothers, John Seagraves of Olive Hill and Ernest Seagraves of Grayson; a daughter in-law, Dempsey Sagraves; and a host of friends and extended family who all mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be 12 noon Wednesday January 17, 2018 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Delmar Rogers and Leonard Gollihue officiating. Burial will follow in the Sagraves Family Cemetery on Katy Branch. Visitation will be 6-9 pm Tuesday and after 9 am Wednesday all at the funeral home.
