Jimmie Forrest Mullins, 79, of Denton, KY went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at his residence.
He was born March 20, 1935 at Denton a son of the late Roy Elmer and Ada Belle Marcum Mullins.
Jimmie was employed with General Refractories in Hitchins for 39 years and was employed with Joyce Coal for 7 years. He was a member of the Willard Wesleyan Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, woodwork and bowling.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Emma Mae Mullins and one brother, Earl Edward Mullins.
His survivors include: his life partner of 22 years, Sharon Webb Stein of Denton; two sons, James Forrest (Charlene) Mullins, Jr. of Mt. Sterling, KY and Herbert Strother (Glenna Maggard) Mullins of Elliott County, KY; one daughter, Judy Mae Tackett of Grayson, KY; one sister, Belva Cartwright of Grayson; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; special niece, Vickie Berry; special friends, Vernon and Pauline Kelley, Geraldine Gollihue and Charles Sexton and his puppy, Sassy.
A celebration of life service will be conducted at 3pm Saturday, July 26th at his residence. Condolences can be made to the Mullins family at www.malonefuneralhome.com
