Allen Eugene Tolliver

Allen (Shovel-up) Eugene Tolliver, 81 of Denton, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. He was born October 1, 1935, in Denton the son of the late John (Dee) and Lennie Marcum Tolliver. He was retired from KY Department of Highways. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Darrell (Soda Water) Tolliver, John Tolliver Jr., Vernon Tolliver and Ronnie Wells; four sisters, Maxine Arms, Janice Greenhill, Esta Mae Tolliver and Earlene Tolliver. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Loretta Gaye Tolliver; three sons, Tim and wife Mary Tolliver, Terry and wife Amy Tolliver and Pat and wife Teresa Tolliver all of Denton; four daughters, Anita Griffey of Scottsville KY, Regina and husband Bobby Young of Summit KY, Melinda Middleton and Anita and husband Boyd Salyers of Hitchins; two brothers, Harold Tolliver of Mansfield OH and William Bailey of Hitchins KY; 24 Grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday at Malone Funeral Home with Delmar Rogers officiating. Burial will be in the Tolliver Family Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to Allen’s family at www.malonefuneralhome.com.
