Markus Blake McDavid, 24, of Grayson passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015. Blake was born October 13, 1990 in Ashland, KY a son of Mark Dywane and Mechelle Lynette McCoy McDavid.
Blake had a great sense of humor and was a great people person. Blake was a Miami Heat basketball fan, enjoyed riding motorcycles and four wheelers; listening to rap music, was a UFC mixed martial arts and boxing fan, and loved lifting weights. Blake worked at Smithfield and most recently at Ralph’s Food fair.
Including his parents Blake is survived by his Wife, Lori Beth Holsinger McDavid; a sister, Morghan Dakota (Hank) Ratcliff; maternal grandparents, Billy G. and Sheila F. McCoy; paternal grandparents, Philip J. McDavid and Wilma McDavid; two uncles, Billy M. (Lana) McCoy and Joseph McDavid; an aunt, Mantha (Shawn) Kelley; three cousins, Taylor Hickle, Madison and Dawson Kelley; and a special niece, Kara Mabry all of Grayson; and a host of family and friends who all morn his passing.
Funeral services will be 12 noon Friday, May 29, 2015 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Delmar Rogers and Leonard Gollihue officiating. Burial will follow in the McDavid Family Cemetery on Dry Ridge Road. Visitation will be 6-9pm Thursday and after 9am Friday until the time of service.
