Kimberly Gail Opell, 42, of Rush went to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Hospice Care Center in Ashland after a long illness. Kimberly was born December 13, 1974 in Ashland, KY a daughter of Roy Sr. and Gail Hutchinson Fannin of Rush. She had worked for Kings Daughters Medical Center Cedar Knoll in pediatrics and she was a member of the Durbin Independent Baptist. She was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Ray Fannin, Jr. In addition to her parents, Kimberly is survived by her husband Jeremy Opell; three sons, Devin Ray Willis, Dylan Chase Gallion and Jackson David Opell all of Rush; one daughter, Jonna Brooke Gallion of Rush; three stepchildren Joseph Willis, Lakyn Miller and Zach Miller and several other family members and friends who will miss her.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Malone Funeral Home with Brian Bussey and Keith Crum, ministers. Burial will be in the Opell Family Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Saturday at Malone Funeral Home and after 12 noon on Sunday. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.malonefuneralhome.com.
