We were greatly saddened to hear of Larry's passing. We became well acquainted with Larry when our daughter, Kimberly, entered kindergarten at Ranger Elementary. I believe he was principal all the years she attended school there. Larry was a friend to many and will be missed even by us who didn't stay in touch through the years. Myrtle, we express our most sincere sympathy to you, your children and grandchildren. May God comfort you all as you go through this time of loss and sorrow.

God bless,

Ron and Sharon Lucas

I want to send my sympathy to you over your loss of Mr. Prichard. My thoughts and prayers will be with your family.
Mr. Prichard was principal part of the time I was teaching at Branchland Elementary. He was always fair and supportive, which I appreciated. He was very easy to work with which made my job easier.
I pray that God will bring you comfort and peace.
Sincerely,
Alice Browning

Mr. Prichard was one of the finest men I know. So many memories over the years of working with him. He was the same person at work, as he was if you meet him in the grocery store. I will sure miss his guidance throughout the remainder of my years with Carter county schools, as I called on him often for advice. He was truly an amazing boss, friend, and brother in Christ. He will be greatly missed. Love & Prayers for the family, as we share with you a great loss.

So sorry for your huge loss within your family. Mr. Prichard was a huge part of my young life at Branchland Elementary. He has offered encouragement, counseling, and yes displine. I can remember when one teacher sent our whole class to be given "3 licks". As we tried to squish into the little office upstairs he was like "what have yall done now". I made sure I was toward the end of the line as he starting paddling...LOL I believe there were like 35 of us kids in that class. I look back and laugh cause I can still see his expression. Mr. Prichard was "good people". I will be praying for comfort and peace for his family.

My friend for 60 years, one fine man, always there with kind words and secure support for those he grew up with. He was my Sunday School teacher as a teen and then a colleague in education here in West Virginia. His love for his family, his students and his God were endless. My love to Chris, Myrtle and Missi.

My sincerest condolences to Myrtle, Missy, Chris, and all of Larry's family and friends. I have so many memories of Larry. We began our educational careers for Lincoln county schools and went other directions later in life. We taught school and coached against each at the beginning of our careers. We were competitive but always friends.Later we were elementary principals and worked closely together. Larry had a passion for education and always sought to improve our schools for the benefit of our kids. Larry continued working toward that goal both in West Virginia and Kentucky. On a lighter note, We would always laugh when we recalled the story of some thieves breaking in to Branchland and Pleasant View elementary schools when we were principals there. He called me and said come up to school I want to show you what we've discovered. He had found a lot of the food that had been stolen up on a hill with the remains scattered about. We also saw that they had tried to cook a frozen turkey on a stick over a campfire. They had gotten sick from the half cooked turkey and apparently a few beers, as cans were scattered around. We would always laugh at the justice of that caper. My deepest sympathies to Myrtle, who I had the good fortune of working with when she taught at Pleasant View. Also to both Missy and Chris who were students at that time. Rest in Peace Larry knowing the positive influence you had on others and your loving family. Sincerely, Steve Priestley
