Mrs. Phyllis Jean (Caudill) Adams, 81, of Taylorsville, Georgia, formerly of Hitchins, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017. She was born on June 21, 1936, in Hitchins, to the late David Wiley Caudill and Mrs. Ollie Gladys Howard Caudill. Jean gave her heart to God at the age of 17. She attended church most of her life at the Church of God of Prophecy, where she was a lay minister. She has been a Sunday school teacher, youth leader, missionary leader, and helped with other activities in the church. Jean loved to read, especially the Bible. She worked for Dollar General for about 13 years. Jean is survived by her husband of 62 years, Owen Elden Adams; two daughters: Kathy O'Banion and her husband, Jeff, of Taylorsville, GA, Penny Whitt and her husband, David, of Grayson, KY. Jean was preceded in death, by her son, Anthony (Tony) Adams in 2000. Jean is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, whom she loved very much: Mr. Joseph Clevenger (Patrice), Mr. Anthony Adams (Christine), Ms. Carrie Savage, Mr. Jeremy O'Banion (Addie), Mr. Justin Adams, Mr. Shawn King, Mr Nicholas Adams, MS. Rebecca Gillum, Mr. Joshua O'Banion (Sara), Mr. Christopher King, Ms. Heather King. Jean, has also been blessed with 23 great grand-children and 2 great-great grandchildren. Jean was one of eleven children and is survived by her sister Joyce Beary, of Overland Park, Kansas. Jean's best friend of many years is Carolyn Littleton. Jean was blessed with many other friends and family members who all love her deeply. She will be missed by all.
